The Year Ahead

2008 was a pretty good year, all things considered.  Here’s a summary of some of my biggest accomplishments:

  • Got married to the woman of my dreams.
  • Learnt loads of new web design & development skills, including JavaScript and PHP.
  • Took my Photoshop game up a level or two.
  • Went on loads of adventures with my wife to different places and countries.
  • Became more focused and organised.

Even though I’ve worked hard, I want to double my efforts in 2009.  I want to finish this new year with some new achievements:

  • A family home, not a rented flat.
  • Money in a savings account.
  • Clearer inner thoughts and better organisation.
  • Take my web design & development up an entire level.
  • Pick up my guitar more often.
  • Improve photography skills & get a decent camera.
  • Blog more.

There is a lot of work ahead of me this year, and I’m very eager and excited to get starting with it.  Some of my goals are massive, but they will seriously pay off big time!

I hope that this new blog will help to keep me organised and my thoughts on track.  And hopefully it will be a good place to share my thoughts and ideas on several of my passions.

The month ahead

There’s several things I really want to get sorted out in January, which will hopefully open up a few doors for me later down the year. Let’s see how many I can tick off!

  • Update this blog design, and roll my web design portfolio in to it.
  • Network more in web design circles, and make some geeky friends.
  • Create a Facebook application.
  • Get some more freelance work.

Of course, there’s loads of other things I want to achieve, or continue to achieve, and I’ll be sure to update here as soon as there’s developments!
